The audio explorer is an audio focused raspberry pi project.
The goal of the project is to listen to different audio sources through wifi using physical buttons.
Hear random online radio, podcasts, and archives from across the world. Save your favorites.
Enjoy your favorite music using buttons on a radio inspired by classic designs.
You can use physical buttons for control, or connect via your phone to the Pi web console.
The focus of this project is on minimalism and simplicity of use for non-technical users.
The initial goal is to be able to interact with TuneIn radio with hardware buttons, and be able to play random online stations.
In the next iteration the goal will be to include randomization functions on other Mopidy extensions, not just TuneIn.
The ’explorer’ functionality of listening to random stations, conceptually, is designed to make the user feel like they might hear anything, and give a sense of exploration and wonder.
